How the Platform Has Changed From the Beginning

   I started Neoko Music over a year ago now and much has changed since the beginning. Above was one of the first landing pages. Does it make you want to use the site?! Probably not, but hopefully all of the future versions are better than this one!

   What started off as a hobby site for myself and I just kept adding and working on it. I have been using it as my own music storage ever since that feature was added. The first idea was the storage and branching structure, which eventually played well into saving copyright and how everything links together.

   Then there came accounts so that others could test it out and try what I had made. Along with album covers, editing the names of files, arrangements, and lots of other fun stuff. Now there are playlists and the ability to search for all public tracks and releases. A web PWA for mobile devices was made, with plans for a native iOS app. Another big change that happened was integrating a global audio player into the site. This allows you to browse the site while still listening to a song at the same time. Maybe seems simple but for those who understand the structure underneath, this was a big undertaking.

   The goal is to provide the best music streaming & storage platform and this is done by having fast UX, the best audio player on any storage system, and on-platform publishing and copyright. And by having the full release process on platform, creators don't have to pay a distributor. With built-in copyright, everyone is enabled to have protection for their music. With a storage system, no one will lose files. Last but not least, offical streaming releases, listeners can find your music.

    The next big update is going to be copyright license & sale brokering. The whole process will be easy to use and automated, being accessable to anyone. Small scale productions up to large deals, the brokering system will be a safe, secure, and quick system to transfer files, payments, and backup copyright documents.
